Start with your customer and category
Name your sales market and customer segment. Choose the garment categories and explain the intended use: everyday dressing, relaxed tailoring or occasionwear. A focused shortlist is easier to review than a large folder without priorities.
Separate requirements from preferences
List essential measurements, fabric requirements and branding needs separately from ideas that can change. If using reference photographs, explain whether they describe fit, colour, construction or styling. A photograph does not define fabric composition or dimensions.
Make the quantity understandable
Provide an estimated total and, when possible, a style, colour and size breakdown. MOQ: 100+ pcs. Confirm colour and size mixing for your order. An estimate can be labelled as an estimate.
Plan backwards from the date you need
State the required arrival date and destination, not just a dispatch date. Ask which milestones start sampling and production, whether days are working or calendar days, and how freight is treated. Leave time to review the sample and resolve changes.
Send a brief that can be answered
Finish with a short checklist: categories, references, size requirements, quantity estimate, target arrival date, destination and open questions. Add styles to the enquiry list, then review the product references in the enquiry form. Check the form status before sending.
